  • You don't have to chase late or non-paying clients for money and make those uncomfortable phone calls. We pay you promptly by BACS each month.
  • You don't need to spend anything on advertising your services. Fleet Tutors is the one of most prominent nationwide advertisers in private tuition.
  • You don't have to worry about scheduling & logistics, we do that for you.
  • We provide you with monthly and annual statements of income in order to ease your tax calculations for the year.
  • We support you: We have a dedicated Tutor Support team to support you throughout your time with Fleet Tutors along with an exclusive tutor area on our website which allows tutors to view current jobs, complete admin tasks on-line and network with other tutors. We also employ a team of consultants whose job it is to effectively match you with clients in your local area. In our recent tutor survey, 95% of tutors agreed that "Fleet Tutors effectively briefs me on the pupil's needs & requirements in advance of my speaking with the client." 97% agreed that "Fleet Tutors consultants are helpful & friendly."

Fleet Tutors is proud of the top marks our tutors have given the agency in our 2004 tutor satisfaction survey. Click here for more detail.

Apply to Teach

To become a Fleet Tutor you will need to have a recognised UK teaching qualification (eg. QTS/PGCE) relevant to the subjects/levels you wish to teach. For tutors who do not hold a teaching qualification we require a degree in the subject(s) you wish to teach, preferably with honours.

Tutors of the core subjects (maths, english, science and primary) are required in all areas of the UK, as are those with experience of coaching for Entrance Examinations (CE7/8+, 11+, 13+, Scholarship). For tuition in other subjects we are actively recruiting suitably qualified tutors in many regions.

We also have requirements for native speakers of a variety of languages, and for EFL tutors who hold a UK-recognised qualification (eg. CELTA). EFL and MFL tutors should be educated to a minimum of degree level.

It is a requirement that all tutors possess an enhanced CRB disclosure or an enhanced disclosure Scotland issued within the last 3 years.

"I am very happy working with Fleet Tutors. As a tutor I receive detailed information about students prior to the first tuition. Job opportunites on the website are updated on a regular basis, and any queries I may have are dealt with immediately. Monthly BACs payments are a convenient and effective way of being paid and in the case of cancellation of lessons without advanced notice, I get paid for the full tuition."
