“Katherine taught S Biology IGCSE in 9 months to achieve an outstanding result of A*. They formed a strong and effective learning bond together. S’s result is remarkable given the short length of time she studied. It is a testament to the dedication and quality of the teaching provided by Katherine that she did so well. Thank you.”
Katherine joined Fleet Tutors in 2008 after teaching science for 25 years. She is still working part-time at a school developing web-based learning resources and finds this complements her tutoring well. Her key aim in tutoring is to build confidence; confidence breeds success and success breeds confidence. Her best achievement to date was with a student who had opted to do just Physics and Chemistry but decided late in Year 10 that she needed Biology too for her career plans. It was not possible to fit this into her school timetable so Katherine was solely responsible for her Biology teaching – and she achieved an A* at iGCSE!
