What qualifications do our GCSE tutors have?

Fleet Tutors believe that home tutoring can only be successful if our private tutors have the relevant qualifications and experience. All of our GCSE tutors must hold a degree in the subject they tutor at 2.1 or above or a teaching qualification recognised by the General Teaching Council. At KS4 all of our private tutors hold a degree or teaching qualification specialising in one or two individual subjects.

What experience do our GCSE tutors have?

All of Fleet Tutors’ GCSE tutors are required to have relevant teaching or home tutoring experience. Many of our GCSE tutors are qualified teachers; others are experienced tutors with high class degrees. All must have up to date knowledge of the curriculum and the GCSEs.

How do you know your children will be safe with our GCSE tutors?

All of our private tutors hold Enhanced Criminal Record Bureau Disclosures (CRBs), or Enhanced Disclosure Scotland’s which we check very closely. The CRB are an executive agency of the Home Office which vets applications for people who want to work with children and vulnerable people. We interview and obtain 2 references for every private tutor; one work reference and one character reference. Many of the work referees have worked with the tutor in a teaching environment so they can provide us with a valuable insight in to the way the tutor works with children. The character referee can also help us determine whether a tutor is suitable to work with children due to their characteristics. All of our tutors are screened very closely by our Tutor Support team.

    GCSE Tutoring from Leading Experts

Without a doubt, GCSE examinations are one of the most significant educational challenges of a young person's life in modern Britain. A huge amount of pressure weighs down on those preparing to undertake exams, as GCSE results have a powerful effect on their future. As teachers now have larger classes than ever, some pupils may feel they need extra assistance to boost their confidence. At Fleet Tutors, we can provide highly-qualified GCSE tutors for one-to-one classes.

Our GCSE tutors are highly-qualified, with a relevant degree at 2.1 or above. They may also hold a teaching qualification recognised by the General Teaching Council. GCSE tutoring from Fleet Tutors will provide that extra support and assistance to give a pupil what they need to enter the exam hall with confidence; undertaking extra GCSE tuition to practice effective revision for GCSEs at home could make a significant difference.
