Private French Tuition

The importance of multi-cultural influence is becoming increasingly important to all of us and the welcomed, increasing trend of children encountering many different languages in their day to day activities allows a much greater opportunity to learn and practise additional language skills.

These language skills are increasingly important and a private tutor is often the answer to enriching this learning. Fleet Tutors are best placed to select the tutor most suitable to your needs whether it is getting to grips with French Conjugation or trying to pinpoint the finer and subtle differences in dialect, only experienced when talking to a native tongue.

Our French tutors all hold degrees in French at a 2.1 or higher or they are native French speakers with a degree in a different subject; therefore they can all offer high class tuition.
We cover all academic exams and levels from primary, school entrance exams (7/8+. 11+, 13+ and 16+), GCSE, A-level, IB, Pre-U, university level and beyond. Our tutors come to your home or other preferred location, at a time that is convenient for you and your child, whether after school or on the weekend. We also provide residential and more fulltime tutors when needed and work with international and university students online.

Frequently Asked Questions

Our French tutors can offer tuition from any level; KS1, GCSE, A level, university and postgraduate level or specifically for common entrance exams. If you are learning a language outside of school or college our private tutors can tutor you at any level whether you are a beginner or an advanced speaker of the language looking to improve any particular skills.

Our French tutors develop a tailored programme of tuition for each student which starts by completing an Individual Tuition Plan (ITP) with the student during the first tutoring session in order to determine what specific areas need to be covered and to define the tuition goals and objectives. This is particularly helpful for language learners as the student may be struggling in particular areas; such as written communication or putting together a French business presentation.

All of our French tutors have relevant teaching or tutoring experience. Many of our private tutors are qualified teachers; others are experienced tutors with language degrees or are native speakers. All must have up to date knowledge of the curriculum and various exam boards including AQA, EDEXCEL and OCR.

All of our private tutors hold Enhanced Disclosures (DBS), or Enhanced Disclosure Scotland’s which we check very closely. The DBS are an executive agency of the Home Office which vets applications for people who want to work with children and vulnerable people. We interview and obtain 2 references for every private tutor; one work reference and one character reference. Many of the work referees have worked with the tutor in a teaching environment so they can provide us with a valuable insight in to the way the tutor works with children. The character referee can also help us determine whether a tutor is suitable to work with children due to their characteristics.

All of our tutors are screened very closely by our Tutor Support team.
